Map Skills Project
We have been working on map skills in Social Studies. Your child should be able to read and draw simple maps. They should be able to identify, use and create a map with a Map Key and Compass Rose.
Be as creative as you wish but your Map must include:
1. a title
2. a Compass Rose and labeled North, South, East and West
3. a Map Key
4. At least 5 different Map Keys
5. Map symbols
6. Map Key and Symbols must match
7. Map should be no larger a Poster Board
8. Be creative
9. You must present your map by due date
10. Due by May 9
Land-Form Project
Students may make choose 1 Land-form from our Geography Packet and make a model using natural resources from home.
Please be ready to share your research with us. Have at least 5 facts about your research and a written, detailed report ready for your presentation on May 9th!
